ROCKFORD — Sinnissippi Park filled with snow-sculpted art on Saturday for the annual Illinois Snow Sculpting Competition

First prize went to Cave People from Space, which beat 10 other teams to win its fourth title in as many tries. The title in the high school division was awarded to Lutheran High School, which topped a dozen teams in the division.

See more sculptures from Saturday’s competition below. They’re on display until they melt away, but that’s happening quickly due to the rainy week in which they were built.
