ROCKFORD — Mayor Tom McNamara will have a blue, blue Christmas if you don’t enter his card contest.

McNamara is encouraging elementary and middle school aged children to enter their designs for his annual holiday card.

The winner will receive 10 copies of their holiday card design with their name on it and a $25 gift card to both Lino’s Restaurant and Rockford Art Deli.

Submissions will be accepted until Nov. 4 and must be secular, specifically capturing the spirit of the holidays in Rockford.

Submission requirements

  • Original, secular and inclusive design
  • No larger than 8.5” x 11”
  • Design must be easily replicated and made with mediums like crayons, water colors, paints, pencil, ink, markers or colored pencil
  • Submit your original design in person or by mail to: City of Rockford Mayor’s Office, 425 E. State St., Rockford, IL 61104
