ROCKFORD — Grab the tissues because summer is officially over.

How can you tell? Tonight is the last Rockford City Market of the 2022 outdoor season.

Tonight’s event is extra special because Rockford City Market is celebrating all things fall with its annual vendor pumpkin carving contest. After walking the outdoor market, you can vote for your favorite pumpkin by stopping at the information booth at the front entrance.

While grabbing your favorite items from the market, you and your family can also trick or treat. There will be candy at the information booth as well as some of the vendors.

Grab a brew from Prairie Street Brewing Co. and listen to the sweet sounds of Jodi Beach Trio on the main stage underneath the pavilion and Lucas Sanor on the acoustic stage by the fountains.

The market runs from 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. tonight downtown near State and Water streets.
