ROCKFORD — Hope you worked up an appetite this week because this Saturday it’s time to Chow Down.
The second annual Chow Down Food Truck Fest will have more than 20 different food trucks, live art installations, live music and 25 local vendors set up shop in the parking lot next to Don Carter Lanes, 4007 E. State St.

The event raises funds for two nonprofit organizations: Miracle Mile Rockford and MASA, which stands for Mexico Americanos Saliendo Adelante, or Mexican Americans Striving to get Ahead.
It kicks off at 2 p.m. and also includes a food truck being painted by local artist Maya Simmons. This is a family–friendly event highlighting diversity in our area.
