ROCKFORD — Fewer than 200 tickets remain for the local premier of a new Amazon Prime series that puts the Rockford Peaches back in the spotlight.

As of about 1 p.m. Thursday, 197 tickets were left in the 2,309-seat Coronado Performing Arts Center, according to John Groh, president and CEO of the Rockford Area Convention & Visitors Bureau.

Tickets are free and can be reserved at coronadopac.org/events.

The early screening of the show, which debuts on Amazon Prime on Aug. 12, culminates two days of festivities celebrating the 30th anniversary of the July 1, 1992, premier of “A League of Their Own” starring Tom Hanks and Geena Davis.

The new series, which stars and is co-produced by former “Broad City” star Abbi Jacobson, goes by the same name as the 1992 film. Jacobson, along with co-stars Chanté Adams and D’Arcy Carden and executive producers Will Graham and Desta Tedros Reff, are scheduled to be in Rockford for the premier. They will participate in a Q&A, along with former All-American Girls Professional Baseball League Player Maybelle Blair, after the screening.

If you’re not able to secure your tickets before they’re sold out, there’s still a host of other activities to celebrate the Peaches. You can watch the original movie Friday in Davis Park, party at a 1940s-themed street fest before the premier, or participate in a baseball and softball playday for youth Saturday morning. We’ve got the full rundown below.
