ROCKFORD — One of the city’s summer traditions returns this week.

Rockford City Market kicks off its 2022 season on Friday. The market runs from 4 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Fridays until Sept. 30, with hours shifting to 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. after Labor Day.

Swingbilly RFD will perform on the main stage this week and Kayla Seeber will be on the acoustic stage.

You can also shop more than 70 local vendors with fresh produce, baked goods, handmade items, jewelry, cheese, honey and more underneath the pavilion in the heart of downtown.

The market has food trucks, live music, local breweries and rotating kid’s activities. The Rockford Park District will be on site with different games for kids (and kids at heart) to try out.
