ROCKFORD — Looking for something to do in the city this weekend? You can shop at retailers new and old, check out a pair of live performances or bike around the city’s north end.

Here are four suggestions for things to do this weekend:

Bike around the city during Tour De North End

Rockford’s original bike festival is back Saturday for its 10th year.

Hundreds of cyclists are expected to participate in the Tour De North End, which starts and ends at Olympic Tavern, 2327 N. Main St., and moves around neighborhoods and businesses on the city’s north side.

Registration begins at 11 a.m. at Olympic Tavern. Learn more about the event here.

Shop local designers at a new downtown retailer

Danetrik’s, a new downtown clothing retailer located in the former Kuma’s restaurant, 420 E. State St., will celebrate its grand opening from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.

Celebrate 15 years with Culture Shock

Culture Shock Clothing & Records will celebrate 15 years in business from 11 a.m to 3 p.m. Saturday. The shop, 2239 Charles St., will have a food truck, pop-up coffee shop, DJs and more to mark the occasion.

Watch a live performance of ‘Peter Pan Jr.’

Bonzi Productions is back on stage for the first time since the pandemic with its performance of “Peter Pan Jr.,” featuring all youth actors.

Show times are 7:30 p.m. Thursday, 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Friday and 2 p.m Saturday at Nordlof Center, 118 N. Main St., Rockford.

Starlight Theatre celebrates reopening with free performance

Starlight Theatre at Rock Valley College will celebrate its reopening with a free performance. The show is at 7:30 p.m. Saturday. No reservations or tickets are needed — just go to the show.

The company will perform two one-act plays adapted from short stories. The plays are “Who Killed Bobby Teal” and “Bertie Steps Out,” which will be performed in the style of a broadcast.
