Space Jam: A New Legacy premiered in the top spot over the weekend, proving that poor reviews don’t really keep people out of the theaters. It bumped Black Widow off its perch at the top spot taking in 31 million. Black Widow was second at 26 Million, Escape Room came in third. “WandaVision” director Matt Shakman is working on a Star Trek movie. It will be the first movie in the Star Trek franchise to be written by an all female writing staff. It’s not known if it’ll feature Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Simon Pegg, and Karl Urban, or if they’ll go in a different direction.

Bill Murray and Wes Anderson will be teaming up yet again. Other than “Bottle Rocket,” Murray has been in all of Anderson’s movies. This new project will also feature Tilda Swinton and is rumored to be “a love story possibly set in a desert landscape.” Both Swinton and Murray can also both be seen in Anderson’s “The French Dispatch,” which comes out this October.
