The Chicago Bears were looking to land a quarterback in free agency this season and they found one. Reports say former Bengals and Cowboys QB, Andy Dalton will sign a one year $10 million deal with Chicago. He could earn as much as $3 million more with incentives.

He’s definitely a quarterback and he’s definitely a free agent, but this is not kind of franchise changing splash Bears fans were hoping for.  The big focus for Bears fans has been Russell Wilson. The Super Bowl winning QB of the Seattle Seahawks, who reportedly wants out of town. Chicago was one of the few places he would agree to be dealt, if the two teams could pull off a trade.

Does this mean the Russell Wilson ship has sailed? Maybe, but for now Bears fans will just have to hope Ryan Pace and Matt Nagy have another move up their sleeve.
