The Cubs have finally made free agent news that doesn’t involve someone leaving Wrigley Field. They have agreed to a one-year, $7 million deal with outfielder Joc Pederson.

At almost 29-years old, Pederson has 130 home runs with a lifetime .336 OBP. He did have a bit of a down year at the plate in the shortened 2020 season, but if the former Dodger can get back to producing the same numbers he did in 2019 the Cubs will have added a solid piece to their puzzle.
