One of the true success stories to come out of Rockford in the last 10 years is the Prairie Street Brewing Company. It’s a century-old building that’s been repurposed to house living spaces, events space, and 2 different restaurant spaces. The craftsmanship of the building is fantastic, their food is great, but the beer steals the show.

While the Screw City Light flavor is the one that anyone can reach for, a true beer lover makes a beeline for the Prairie Street IPA. This beer is always on tap at the brewing company and never fails to disappoint.

As an IPA, it isn’t too heavy and its citrus flavors will keep bringing you back for more. The real beer
specialists will find the hints of grapefruit in the flavors and the brewing process that give it the
signature taste of a beer brewed along the banks of the Rock River.
