There will be another Pop-Up Market Distribution in Rockford THIS Saturday on August 8th. Please read below if you or anyone you know are available and interested in volunteering.
Through the Food Bank’s collaboration with the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) in Rockford/Winnebago County, there will be a Pop-Up Market THIS Saturday (8/8) in Rockford at the old Circuit City at 5460 State Street.
THIS EVENT IS OUTSIDE and there are NO seated tasks for this opportunity.
DATE: Saturday, August 8th
ARRIVE: Volunteers please arrive 10 minutes early for your shift time
ENDING TIME: Volunteers should finish up between 12:30 PM-1:00 PM
FOOD DIST TIME: 9:00 AM – NOON
LOCATION: Old Circuit City building in Rockford – 5460 East State Street
PARKING: Volunteers should park at old Tumbleweeds lot located at 5494 East State Street in Rockford
1 AVAILABLE SHIFT:
8:15AM – 12:30PM: Distribution volunteers (load food boxes into vehicles – NO packing; some will help with neighbor intake and others will pass out food assistance flyers through car windows)

August 22nd
VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS – BE SAFE and practice appropriate social distancing from other volunteers and neighbors in need when distributing food in their vehicles:
– Volunteers must be 12-years of age and older.
– Volunteers must take their own temperature before arriving to assure they do not have a high fever.
– Please bring and wear your own mask.
– Volunteers must wear gloves while packing and interacting with our neighbors in need. The Food Bank will supply gloves.
– Bring and wear a face mask if you have one! The Food Bank will have a limited supply of masks for those that do not have their own mask.
– Attest to and sign VOLUNTEER AND VISITOR HEALTH STATEMENT (visit website – please bring with you / paperless option available day of the event)
