Any other Cinco de Mayo, we would be headed to our favorite Mexican food spot to order fresh chips & guac, tacos, and margaritas. But with many restaurants closed for dine-in options, it looks like locals will be celebrating differently this year.

So why not bring the fiesta to your home? There’s a few ways you can do this!

  • Make your own margaritas and tacos:
  • At a restaurant, it would roughly cost you about $8-10 for ONE awesome margarita, but what if we told you, that making your own at home, costs $2.26 per margarita after you buy the ingredients at your local grocer?
  • All you need is El Jimador, di Amore Raspberry Liqueur, pineapple or orange juice, sour mix, brown sugar (for the rim of the glass) and lime, for garnish.

Measurements:

  • 3 oz of sour mix
  • 1.5 oz(or more, if you like em strong) tequila
  • .5 oz di Amore Raspberry Liqueur
  • 1 oz of pineapple or orange juice
  1. Pour the sweet and sour mix, tequila, pineapple or orange juice, and raspberry liqueur into a shaker filled with ice. Shake it like a polaroid picture. Rub the rim of a margarita glass with a lime wedge, then dip in sugar. Add a few ice cubes to the glass, then strain the liquid from the shaker carefully into the glass. Garnish with a lime wedge.

If you are not in the mood to make your own, there are also a few restaurants in the area that are offering curbside Cinco de Mayo specials.
